The method · Spirit Medicine

Spirit Medicine is what happens when a physician takes the unmeasured seriously.

It is not a belief system and it does not ask you to adopt one. It is a way of working — building from what is established, being precise about what is merely emerging, and naming plainly what is only ever observation.

Four foundations

What the method is built on.

01 / mode 3,5

The human as a wave

Water is particle and wave. So is light. So, in every way we can currently measure, is the body — vibrating from the molecular timing of DNA base pairs to the resonance of whole organs to the faint light that living tissue actually emits. This is the thesis the rest of the method is built on, and it is a physics claim before it is a spiritual one.

02 / mode 2,3

The transformation cascade

My own clinical map of how the physical and the felt connect: organ and structure, then language and expression, then hormones, then neurotransmitters, then brainwaves, then emotion and thought — running from matter to non-matter without a gap where something mystical has to be inserted. It is a lens for looking, not a mechanism I have proven.

03 / mode 4,7

Bodies within the body

Every tradition that has looked closely at a person has described more than one body — etheric, emotional, mental; the microcosm mirroring the macrocosm; the five elements; the centres along the spine. I teach these by comparison, tracing where they agree and where they contradict each other, because that is more honest and more interesting than picking one and calling it true.

04 / mode 1,4

Breath as the bridge

Breathing is the only life-sustaining act you can consciously take hold of, and it is observable from the outside. That makes it the practical bridge between the body you can measure and the body you can only feel — and the reason every course and every session begins there.

The transformation cascade

Where does a thought touch the body?

In the clinic this question arrives constantly, wearing different clothes. A grief that lands in the gut. A dread that tightens the throat months before anything shows on a scan. The chart has no column for it, so it gets dismissed or it gets romanticised — and neither is useful to the person in front of you.

So I mapped it. Organ and structure, then language and expression, then hormones, then neurotransmitters, then brainwaves, then emotion and thought. Each step is a real transformation between things we can measure, and the sequence carries you from matter to non-matter without ever needing to insert something mystical to bridge a gap.

I want to be exact about the status of this: the individual steps are established physiology. The cascade as a whole — as a lens for reading a person — is my clinical observation. Useful, in my hands, for twenty years. Not proven.

Read downward and a structural problem becomes a mood. Read upward and a mood becomes a structural problem. Both directions happen, constantly.

How I hold evidence

The three levels, and why they are on every page.

A physician spends years learning to distinguish a proven claim from a plausible one. Most of this field simply declines to make that distinction. Refusing to decline is the whole differentiator.

Established

Established

Peer-reviewed and replicated. The autonomic effects of slow breathing, mirror neurons, the default mode network, the cortical homunculus, endocannabinoid biology. Sources cited and linked.

Emerging

Emerging

Measured, published, and unsettled. Ultraweak photon emission from human tissue, heart-rate variability and coherence, the molecular vibration of DNA. Promising is not proven, and I say which I mean.

Observation

Observation

What decades of practice and a long inheritance of traditions describe, before science has looked. Offered plainly as observation and framework — never dressed up as data.

A note on the third level: marking something “observation” is not a soft way of saying it is true. It means I have seen it, I am telling you I have seen it, and you should weigh it exactly as much as one practitioner's experience deserves to be weighed — which is something, and which is not evidence.

Why a vibrating plate

The oldest demonstration that invisible order is real.

In 1787 Ernst Chladni drew a violin bow across the edge of a metal plate covered in fine sand. The sand fled the parts of the plate that were moving and gathered along the lines that were standing still. Geometry appeared out of nowhere — not decorated onto the plate, but revealed in it.

Nothing about that experiment is mystical. It is repeatable in any physics classroom, and the mathematics is fully understood. And yet it does something no argument can do: it shows you, in one glance, that a vibration you cannot see produces an order you can.

That is the claim this practice rests on, and the reason the plate is the mark of this school.

Established

This is for you if

  • You are drawn to this work and repelled by how it is usually sold.
  • You want to know the mechanism, or want to be told honestly that nobody knows it.
  • You are willing to practise. Nothing here works by being purchased.
  • You are a practitioner who wants a framework with intellectual integrity.

This is not for you if

  • You need a cure, or a promise. I do not have either and will not pretend to.
  • You want to replace your medical treatment with this. Do not.
  • You want certainty about the parts that are genuinely uncertain.
  • You are in crisis right now — please reach a doctor or a crisis service where you are, today.

The method is only a description until you practise it.
